Adopted Child or Orphan...

If we have been adopted in the Royal Family...why do we still act like orphans?

Orphans have to fend for themselves. They have no one looking out for them. They carry the weight of the world on their shoulders. They have no one to answer to so there are no rules to follow and they do whatever they want, whenever they want to.

When we are chosen and adopted...we have a Father that ensures our safety and takes care of all our needs. He gives us rules and guidelines to follow for our own benefit. We are responsible for our behavior.

If we say that we are adopted and still act like orphans, what does that say about the Father who adopted us? We are not portraying Him in a good light, are we? What does YOUR actions say about your family status? Are you a proud family member or a disgruntled orphan?

Have a wonderful and blessed day, my friend. May there always be Shalom in your heart and in your home.

God can use you...

Satan would love for us to believe that God would not think of using us because of our sins or poor choices. That is the farthest thing from the truth.

1 Corinthians 1:27 says "But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty" (NKJV).

God can use ANYBODY...as long as they allow Him to. It always has been, is now and always will be a heart issue. We do not have to be perfect for God...we just have to have a heart's desire to follow and serve Him.

Open yourself up and see how God will turn all your bad choices, your short comings and your past sins into an amazing training ground to build you up and make you a mighty warrior for His kingdom.

Satan tries to fill you with doubt, regret, sorrow and self-condemnation. He wants you to believe that God could never use you for anything. That He will never forgive you because you have sinned to much. Remember, he is a liar and your worst enemy!

Psalm 103:12 says "He has removed our rebellious acts as far away from us as the east is from the west." (NLT)

Have a blessed and useful day, my friend. May there always be Shalom in your heart and in your home.

In Our Struggles....

We cannot grow if we are never put in a position to grow. Every battle, every scar, every fall, every defeat and every tear can be turned into a training ground.

If we use the lesson to become stronger and wiser then we have just witnessed Romans 8:28 "And we know that, for those who love God, He works all things for good, beforehand, He appointed ahead of time, because they have the same form of the likeness of His Son, for He was Firstborn among many brothers."

Always stand your ground because no matter what adversity comes your way - you will not fall under it but rather rise above a better person then you were before.

Have a blessed and victorious day, my friend. May there always be Shalom in your heart and in your home.

Ten Ways to Love....

There are so many ways that we can show our love for one another. Love is a level playing ground. The real significant ways that we can show others are love are free so we can all afford to do it.

Unfortunately, many people put way to much emphasis on materialistic things these days. They think they need to live in the biggest house, drive the best car, look a certain way, wear the latest fashions, have the newest technology. They judge their self-worth by the things they own not by the attributes they have. However, you will never attract the kind of person your heart desires that way. Your character is far more important than your financial portfolio!

If we all start with just few examples from the list above, we would see the spirit of love sweep through our lives, our homes and our communities. Be an example of love to those around you and they might just start changing too.

Have a blessed and love filled day, my friend. May there always be Shalom in your heart and in your home.

Warrior not Worrier

Did you know that when you worry you are in defiance of God's Word? Philippians 4:6 says "and you must at no point be anxious for nothing, but your requests must quickly be made known to God in every prayer and entreaty, with thanksgiving."

God wants you to go to Him right away when you are in need. There is no reason to wait. We need to be prayer warriors not situation worriers. When we bring something to God, He will take care of it and we no longer have to put ourselves through worrying. When we hang on to things and try to "fix" them ourselves, we are usually in a constant state of worry until they are resolved. Why put ourselves through this when God is perfectly capable and willing to help us with our problems.

When we pray for God's help we are letting Him know that we want things to go according to His plan...not ours. He might now answer the way you want or expect Him to but He will ALWAYS answer.

Sometimes God will calm the storm we are going through and other times He calms us through the storm. Either way His hand is on us and there is no need to worry or be anxious.

Have a blessed and worry free day, my friend. May there always be Shalom in your heart and in your home.

Wear Your Crown...

It does not matter who the world thinks you are...it is important that YOU know who you are. You are royalty and it is about time you started acting like it!

Keep a humble and contrite heart but never ever forget that you are a member of THE Royal Family. Your Father is the God Almighty, King of the Universe.

Wear your crown proudly. People might not see it but trust me...the spirit world not only sees it but they are fully aware of the power in that crown!

Wearing the crown lets your nemesis know that he has no power over you. Stand tall, dressed in the armor with the crown on your head. Watch with strong purpose and perseverance, ready for all attacks with the knowledge that you have a legion of angels standing besides you, ready to fight with you.

Ahhhh...the privileges given to those who choose to follow Him now...

Have a blessed and privileged day, my friend. May there always be Shalom in your heart and in your home.

An opportunity to bless someone....

We never know when God is going to give us the opportunity to be a blessing to someone else. We must stay alert and open to His voice. Ready to move when He speaks.

Sometimes we have to put our inhibitions aside and do whatever it is that He tells us to do. What might seem like an uncomfortable moment for us might just be the lifeline someone needs to baby step to the next minute in their life.

We should always have an abundance of uplifting and encouraging words available...they can have more healing power than a medical degree sometimes!

Have a blessed and uplifted day, my friend. May there always be Shalom in your heart and in your home.
